A Linksys by Cisco device is an essential part of your home network. General Notes: - Disconnect all wireless clients from the router during the upgrade process. Make sure no wireless clients attempt to associate with the router until the upgrade process is complete. Alright, hopefully you guys will be able to help me out here. I have an ibook running Mac OSX 10.3.4 I have a DWL-G122 Rev. B1 with a proper driver from the D-link website.albeit the taiwan D-link website. The WRT54GS is configured the way that I want it to be, that being with WEP. I have the WEP key in, its all connected up to the router.and yet, I am still getting no connection back from it. I have the signal strength and everything, that's for sure, and it's definitely connected to my router, but it's not giving me an automatic IP back or anything. And so I though.I'll just give it a manual IP!
I have all the info right here!Still the same thing. Tons of signal. Can't even access the router.
So.any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Does the WRT54GS for some reason not allow WEP on mac devices? Or maybe just on the DWL-G122?
Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all very much in advance. Sincerely, Distressed mac user.
